Getting Started

Is it really free during early access?

Yes, you get full access with no credit card. You will be notified 30 days before any change.

How do I invite my co-owners?

From your dashboard, click "Invite a resident". Kohabit sends an email to each member. They can vote and receive announcements even without creating an account.

How long does it take to set up Kohabit?

Basic setup takes less than 10 minutes: create the association, name the units, and invite members.

Features

Do my residents need to create an account?

No. They receive announcements and can vote by email without an account. An account is optional and unlocks full platform access.

Can tenants use Kohabit?

Yes, you can invite tenants with limited rights (no voting and no access to finances).

How does weighted voting work?

When creating a vote, Kohabit automatically uses each unit's ownership shares to weight the votes. Quorum is calculated in real time.

Does the Act 16 module generate a real maintenance logbook?

Yes. You can export a structured PDF of your maintenance logbook directly from the Maintenance module.

Pricing and Data

What is a "door"?

One door = one unit in your condo association (apartment, commercial unit, or private parking space).

What happens to my data if I stop?

You can export all your data at any time from settings. No data is deleted without your approval.

Does any data leave Canada?

No. All data is hosted exclusively on Canadian servers.

Is Kohabit compliant with Law 25 (Quebec)?

Kohabit aligns with Law 25 requirements: minimal data collection, no data resale, and right to erasure. This is not legal advice.
